Academic Standards & Assessment Committee
The MBA Consortium Academic Standards and Assessment Committee is responsible for the development, delivery, and assessment of Consortium courses. The Academic Standards and Assessment Committee meets two to three times a year.
The committee's responsibilities:
- Oversee and approve changes to learning outcomes at the program level and course level
- Oversee and approve new course proposals
- Review student evaluation of instructors scores and make recommendations to program leadership of strategies for continual improvement
- Review and make decisions on student grade appeals
- Oversee and approve changes to standards and expectations related to instruction, including course design standards and expectations for instructor performance
- Make decisions on curricular improvements based on assurance of learning results, instructor/course evaluations, and any other feedback systematically collected from CMBA stakeholders.
- Make decisions on how to conduct assessment of the CMBA program learning outcomes.
The committee consists of the following:
- Two members from each governing partner campus, at least one of which must be a faculty member in a Redbooked-budgeted position with teaching responsibilities and experience teaching in the CMBA in the last 3 years. The other member may be part of the administration or faculty on the campus. These members shall serve 3-year staggered, renewable terms. Members can serve for consecutive terms.
- A representative from each participating partner campus shall participate in ASC committee functions when invited by the CMBA Academic Director
- CMBA Managing Director is a non-voting ex-officio member
- CMBA Academic Director is a non-voting ex-officio member and chair of the committee
- The Administrative Project Manager attends meetings to take minutes
- Other MBA administrative staff members may be asked to attend meetings as needed.
