2016 Outstanding Faculty

In October 2016, students were asked to nominate outstanding instructors in the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium program. The results from the survey are in and students selected the following:
MELISSA BUBLTZ, UW-OSHKOSH, ELECTIVE COURSES
Melissa teaches the Consumer Behavior course for the Consortium program. Students indicated that Melissa is very knowledgeable in the subject area and actively engages with the class. One student said, "Professor Bublitz takes the time to comment on many of the discussion posts. I find her comments value-added and appreciate that she takes the time to comment! Very knowledgeable on the subject matter and provides fresh, relevant ideas."
KENT GERBERICH, UW-EAU CLAIRE, FOUNDATION COURSES
Kent has taught a number of online courses through UW-Eau Claire, including the Managing Information Technology Foundation. Kent, who serves as UW-Eau Claire's Manager of Technical Support Services, is able to relate to students who serve in many different roles. According to one student, "He was very engaged with the student's work and very accessible as well. He designed his course so that the information he was teaching related to your own career and the issues we were facing." Another student commented that Kent was "Very responsive. Very interested in student learning and giving prompt assistance."
LING LIU, UW-EAU CLAIRE, MODULE COURSES
Ling is one of three instructors who teach the Module 2: Developing New Products and Services course. In her role, she teaches the accounting portion of the class. Students commented on her willingness to help clarify materials and the level of feedback she provided. One student said, "Ling provided a lot of insight. Excellent, detailed feedback on all assignments that are turned in by students."
We congratulate and thank these instructors for their efforts in making their courses, and therefore the UW MBA Consortium program, the best it can be. |
